We picked up every spring in my childhood these Kingcups - bright yellow flower to put them into a vase. They didn't managed inside in warm water so it's better to leave them flowering in nature near brooks and rivers. Kingcup's leaf are poisonous at least if you eat them.

Wildly Flowering Finland: Peltokorte - Common horsetail ( Equisetum arvense )
Varsinainen kasviosa on kyllä kieltämättä hevosen hännän näköinen huisku.
This Common horsetail I found near my own ponies pasture. Finnish name of this plant don't describe at all the nature or outlooking of it. In english or latin name 'horsetail' do tell a lot of what the plant looks.

Wildly Flowering Finland: Lehto-orvokki ( Viola mirabilis )
Kauniinsinisiä pikkuorvokkeja on ilmestynyt nopeasti muiden kukkien ohella metsän reunaan hevoshaan viereen. Oli ihan oltava kyykyssä, jotta pääsi ihailemaan niiden kauneutta. Luulen että nämä orvokit ovat lehto-orvokkeja, koska ne kasvavat kosteassa paikassa.
Again new flowers are starting flowering near the forrest. These wild violets are so tiny that I needed to kneel to see their beautiness and light blue colour.

Wildly Flowering Finland: Mustikka - Blueberry ( Vaccinium myrtillus )
Voi iso harmi. Viime yönä oli kylmää ja hallaa. Toivottavasti mustikan kukinta ei siitä kärsinyt. Odotan niin tuoretta mustikkapiirakkaa pullataikinaan leivottona kylmän maidon kera.
It was frosty and very cold last night. Hopefully the flowering blueberries survived the cold weather otherwise we don't get any berries at summer.
My favorite pie is made of bun dough spiced lightly with cardamom and filled with fresh blueberries and a little bit sugar. The only right way to serve the blueberrypie is with icecold fresh milk.
En osaa edes arvata kuinka monta litraa tästä pienestä mustikkavarvikosta saisi, jos vain kasvukausi olisi suotuisa.
I can't even imagine how much blueberries one can get of this little area if everything goes okay.

Wildly Flowering Finland: Sinivuokko ( Anemone hepatica )
My biggest favorite flower in Finnish nature! I wait Hepaticas every spring. Hepaticas are so rare that they are not allowed to pick up.
Wildly Flowering Finland: Wood Anemone - Valkovuokko ( Anemone nemorosa )
All mothers get these white and beautifull Wood anemones on The Mother's Day on sunday. It's an old tradition in our family that year after year children gathers these wildflowers to their mothers and grandmothers. They are easy to pick a big bunch of flowers. I'm waiting for them ...
Wildly Flowering Finland: Leskenlehti - Widow's leaf ( Tussilago farfara )
First flowers in Spring are these tiny little "Suns" after dark, wetty akd cold winter. Everyone is waiting for to see them - then begins summertime!
We called them "Widow's leaf". In garden they are a big trouble, beacause they are difficult to get rid of.
Flowers ja leaves are a little bit poisonous.
